Spring/Summer Issue 2014

cover spring 2014

 a home for rejected poems

Our cover artist Cari Corbett says this about her process:

"Combining photography, painting, and drawing, using a poet's  methods of building meaning, I have begun exploring a new style of art portraiture in my studio in Raleigh, North Carolina.
When I am creating a portrait, it is with the aim of inspiring both myself and my model, while building an image of what I see as the beauty inside a person.
Without my models, I would not be able to make my art. My journey is just beginning, and I'd love for you to become a part of it."

If you are interested in modeling for an art portrait with her in her studio in Raleigh, NC, go here. And, if you have any questions, check out the FAQ here. Or if you want to see more of her work, check out her portfolio here.
